Prestonwood Country Club , a premier private club in Cary, NC, is seeking
reliable, energetic, and hardworking individuals to join our Banquets Team as
House Persons (Event Setup Staff) .
We have
Part-Time and Full-Time positions available on 1st and 2nd shifts . This is a great opportunity for
students, retirees, or anyone looking for flexible work or a second job .
Our Banquet Set Up Staff play an important behind-the-scenes role in creating beautiful and successful weddings, banquets, meetings, brunches, and special events for our members and guests.
What You'll Do:
- Set up event rooms before functions and break down rooms after events.
- Clean, clear, and reset event spaces to prepare for the next function.
- Set and reset tables with linens, china, glassware, and silverware.
- Safely carry trays and bus tables during and after events.
- Stock and organize linens, china, silverware, and glassware.
- Ensure silverware and banquet equipment are clean, polished, and in good condition.
- Set up buffets, brunch stations, food displays, and side stations.
- Retrieve food and supplies from the kitchen and safely transport them to the appropriate event area.
- Break down buffets, displays, and side stations after events.
- Help keep banquet and event areas clean, organized, and ready for our members and guests.
- Work as part of a team to ensure events run smoothly and efficiently.
What We're Looking For:
- Dependable, responsible, and hardworking.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to safely lift, carry, push, and pull banquet equipment and supplies.
- Comfortable being on your feet and moving throughout your shift.
- Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Previous banquet, hospitality, restaurant, or event experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidates .
