  • United States

Job Description

Remote | Full-Time | $45,000–$60,000 Base + Uncapped Commission

Location: Remote

Employment type: Full-time W-2 employee

Schedule: Monday–Friday, with consistent availability during agreed U.S. business hours

Compensation: $45,000–$60,000 annual base salary, depending on relevant experience and demonstrated results, plus uncapped commission. This is a non-exempt position, with overtime paid in accordance with applicable law.

About Concrete Tools Direct

Concrete Tools Direct is an online retailer supplying professional concrete and construction equipment to contractors and businesses across the United States. Our products include concrete saws, core drills, mixers, grinders, dust extractors, compaction equipment, and related tooling and accessories.

We help customers choose the right equipment, understand their options, and buy with confidence. We’re looking for an inside sales representative who can take ownership of customer inquiries, turn quotes into orders, and build relationships that bring customers back.

The Opportunity

You’ll work directly with contractors and business owners who need equipment for real jobs. Some know exactly what they want; others need help comparing options or putting together a complete equipment and tooling package.

Your job is to understand the application, make accurate recommendations, communicate clearly, and follow through to the sale.

This is primarily an inbound sales, quote follow-up, and account-development role —not a commission-only position or a cold-calling-only job. You’ll also reconnect with previous customers, revisit open opportunities, and identify additional business.

We welcome both experienced equipment-sales professionals and proven inside salespeople who are ready to learn the concrete and construction equipment industry .

You’ll have ownership of your sales pipeline and day-to-day follow-up, but this is a scheduled position requiring reliable availability to answer calls and respond to customers during business hours.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage inbound sales opportunities. Answer calls and respond to email and text inquiries, ask the right questions, and help customers move toward a purchasing decision.
  • Recommend the right equipment and tooling. Understand the customer’s application, budget, and timeline. Verify specifications and compatibility rather than guessing.
  • Prepare quotes and close sales. Build accurate equipment packages, explain the value, handle objections, and follow up consistently.
  • Develop repeat business. Reconnect with previous buyers, identify upcoming needs, and recommend relevant accessories, consumables, and complementary products.
  • Protect profitability and customer trust. Work within pricing guidelines and confirm availability, freight, and lead times before making commitments.
  • Keep your pipeline organized. Maintain clear customer notes, quote status, follow-up dates, and next steps. Coordinate with suppliers and our internal team to resolve questions and ensure a smooth handoff after the sale.

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated success in inside sales or comparable B2B sales , including responsibility for following up on quotations and closing business.
  • Strong phone skills and clear, professional email and text communication.
  • The ability to learn technical products, interpret specifications, and recognize when a recommendation needs manufacturer confirmation.
  • Excellent organization and consistent follow-through across multiple active opportunities.
  • Comfort using AI tools, CRM systems, online sales tools, and ecommerce platforms. Shopify experience is helpful but not required.
  • A dependable home-office setup with reliable internet and a professional environment for customer calls.

Experience selling to contractors—or working with concrete equipment, construction supplies, equipment rentals, power tools, or industrial products—is especially valuable.

You do not need to know every product we sell on day one. You do need sound judgment, curiosity, problem solving skills and a willingness to learn.

Compensation and Opportunity

The position offers a $45,000–$60,000 annual base salary plus uncapped commission tied to eligible sales profitability . Final base compensation will reflect your relevant sales experience, product knowledge, demonstrated results, and ability to manage opportunities independently.

The written commission plan, including eligibility, sales attribution, performance incentives, and payment timing, will be provided during the hiring process.

You’ll work with company-generated sales opportunities, an established product catalog, and supplier and manufacturer resources. You’ll be part of a small team where your contribution is visible and your feedback can help improve how we sell and serve customers.

We’re looking for someone who wants to build customer relationships and close business—not simply answer calls and pass along messages.

What Success Looks Like

Customers receive timely, accurate help. Quotes have clear next steps and consistent follow-up. Orders are profitable and well matched to the customer’s needs. Previous buyers return because they trust you.

We’ll evaluate performance through sales results, conversion, profitability, responsiveness, and customer experience—not call volume alone.

How to Apply

Apply through this posting with your résumé and a brief introduction describing the products you have sold, your typical order sizes, and your experience turning inquiries or quotes into completed sales .

Please include your city and state and your availability for a consistent U.S. business-hours schedule.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Concrete Tools Direct is an equal opportunity employer. Qualified applicants will be considered without regard to legally protected characteristics.
