Security Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Security Consultant based in India.

This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled security professional services team supporting customers across the full technology lifecycle. You'll act as a trusted security expert, helping customers integrate solutions, solve technical challenges, and achieve their security objectives. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with customer consulting, project delivery, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll work across network and application security, internet technologies, routing, and web architecture. You'll have the opportunity to influence technical and business stakeholders while building long-term customer relationships. Accountabilities:

• Serve as a primary security services contact for customers throughout the integration and consulting lifecycle.
• Understand customer requirements and help develop long-term security strategies aligned with industry best practices.
• Design, implement, integrate, and maintain security solutions to help customers achieve their technical and business objectives.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and communicate solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Partner with Support, Engineering, Product, Presales, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to resolve technical and business challenges.
• Review customer integrations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality, and overall customer engagement.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, dependencies, and risks associated with technical integrations and customer engagements.
• Build trusted relationships with customers by providing proactive guidance, demonstrating solution value, and maintaining a strong focus on customer success.
• Participate in internal training, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and strategic projects that strengthen technical capabilities and operational best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives designed to maximize efficiency, improve service delivery, and enhance the overall customer experience.
• Apply sound judgment, decision-making, and contingency planning when addressing technical risks and complex customer requirements.

Requirements:

• Approximately 6 years of professional experience working with security technologies, supported by a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional experience in network security or application security engineering, combined with a strong interest in developing advanced security expertise.
• Practical knowledge of Internet routing protocols such as BGP, ISIS, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco and Juniper routers.
• Understanding of common OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and how they can contribute to attacks or compromises involving Internet services.
• Strong knowledge of Internet technologies, including IP networking, DNS, routing, TCP, and web architecture.
• Demonstrated experience managing and successfully delivering large-scale technical projects for customers.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
• A customer-focused mindset and the ability to establish and maintain trusted professional relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to anticipate risks, develop contingency plans, and maintain high standards of service quality.
• Comfortable working collaboratively in a global, cross-functional environment.
